The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee
With the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee extended weekend almost here, people will be celebrating all around the UK and throughout the Commonwealth.
From Thursday, 2 June through to Sunday, 5 June, there will be events and activities across the nation to commemorate this special anniversary, and Her Majesty’s amazing 70 years of service. She is the first British Monarch to reach this milestone and people will be out in force to enjoy the occasion.
I’m keeping busy in the build-up to the festivities, performing close-up entertainment at a number of events, including a wedding reception at Ripley Castle. I am also providing magic and balloon modelling at a three-day event on Ripon Market Square. As well as my walk-around magic show, there will be some fabulous tribute acts and a party for local children.
On Monday, once the celebrations are over, I will be taking a break with my family. We hope to visit Whitby for the day – and enjoy some fish and chips.
However you choose to spend the time, I hope you all have a wonderful bank holiday weekend. I also hope I’ll get the chance to entertain some of you on Ripon Market Square. If you see me wandering around, please come over, have a chat, and let me show you some live magic. You might have seen magicians on TV recently, especially on BGT – but there’s nothing to beat seeing magic performed not only close up – but also in your own hands.
At such a memorable time, why not make some memories for yourself?
Go on, pick a card, any card. You know you want to!
