Real Magic Eliza

My Daughter’s Magical Journey: A Future Magician in the Making

As a magician, I was beyond thrilled that my daughter, Eliza, has started to perform some magic tricks —not just because she wanted to learn magic, but because she wanted me to be the one to teach her. If you follow me on Facebook, you might have seen some of her attempts!

Eliza has loved magic for a while now. Like many children, she’s a huge Harry Potter fan and adores Disney’s Magic Camp. Last year, when lockdown restrictions lifted, we visited Warner Bros. Studio in London for The Making of Harry Potter experience. That trip sparked her enthusiasm even more, inspiring her to dive deeper into the world of magic.

Most magicians start their journey with a magic set, and Eliza is no different. She practises all the time, constantly improving her skills. We’ve even been working on some new tricks together—because that’s how every magician grows and evolves. Watching her perfect each trick with dedication and excitement reminds me of my own journey when I first fell in love with magic.

Beyond learning tricks, magic has taught her valuable skills like patience, confidence, and creativity. It’s incredible to see how performing boosts her self-esteem, especially when she gets that wide-eyed reaction from friends and family. She’s learning that magic isn’t just about illusions—it’s about creating unforgettable moments of wonder and joy.

Magic has boosted my confidence throughout my life, and I can already see it doing the same for Eliza. She’s blossoming into a fantastic entertainer, and I couldn’t be prouder. Every time she picks up a deck of cards or a wand, I see a spark of excitement and potential.

One of my biggest dreams would be to perform alongside her as a father-daughter magic duo. Sharing the stage with her, wowing audiences together, would be an unforgettable experience. Who knows what the future holds? But one thing is certain…

Eliza is real magic!
