Introducing My New Website
Welcome to my new website. I’ve been planning this for some time and am so excited it’s finally live. For that I’m very grateful to my fabulous web designer, Craig, who’s worked so hard to get everything up and running, and my copywriter, James, for throwing the words together.
I plan to update this blog at least twice a month and hope you’ll pop in from time to time to see how things are going. I’ll try not to disappoint you!
First off, this month, I think it’s fair to say that COVID-19 has thrown a huge damper on all our lives. I know it will end, and I know we’ll get back to normal. I also know that, for many people, these are difficult days. I wish you all the best and hope we all come out of it safe and sound.
The lockdown has certainly brought my work to a standstill, though, on the plus side, it’s given me more time with my wife and young family. In an increasingly hectic world, that’s a bonus I’m happy to take.
Another plus is that I have more time to learn and practise new material – both for my adult and children’s shows. I’m adding some terrific magic to my act and I can’t wait to share it with you in the not-so-distant future.
I’m particularly excited about my new children’s show (which I’m honing in front of my youngsters, Eliza and Amelia!). Though I’ve performed children’s magic in the past, up to now I’ve concentrated more on entertaining adults. The great thing about children is that they really believe in magic – and it’s wonderful to see the joy in their faces. (And that’s something we all need more of right now!)
That’s it for this first post, though, before I finish, it wouldn’t be right to end without saying a huge thank you to our wonderful NHS and key workers for everything they’re doing. We really couldn’t get through this without you – and we’re so lucky you’re there working so hard for us at this difficult time. Many thanks to you all!
