Disney Magic

I’ve always loved magic, and recently, a little bit of it entered my life for real.

For my 40th birthday, and our 10th wedding anniversary, my wife booked us the trip of a lifetime – a family holiday aboard a Disney cruise from Southampton.

We spent the next few days enjoying amazing stage shows, all based on Disney characters. We even saw an outdoor Frozen show (yes, it was freezing in the middle of the ocean!). The food was incredible too, with themed restaurants to choose from. Our favourite was the ‘Tangled’ restaurant, where we watched the floating lanterns from the Rapunzel fairy tale. That was truly magical.

While meeting Spiderman and Captain Marvel was a highlight, the moment I’ll cherish most was seeing my children’s faces when they met their favourite Disney Princesses.

One lesson I learned was that Disney merchandise comes with a hefty price tag! (That said, the kids were thrilled with their new treasures.)

In the end, it was an unforgettable trip. However, the Disney blues hit us hard on the way home. To cheer myself up, I visited some of my favourite magic shops – Saturn, Magic, and Propdog. With my new purchases, I can’t wait to bring some magic into your lives too!
